“Science in 360 ° format” is an outstanding digital collection of virtual lab tours consisting of spherical panoramic images integrated into various information formats (audio, photo, video, text). The project is designed to let the general public see the actual daily work of the research laboratories located in the universities and research centers across Russia. The project participants are 16 leading research organizations from 7 regions of Russia that received prestigious large-scale research funding from 2014 to 2018 in the framework of the RSF excellence-building programme to support integrated research programs.
The purpose of this national award program is to select and support projects aimed at popularizing research achievements, enhancing the prestige of professional scientific activity in Russia and developing professional communication among researchers. The founder of this award program is the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Other partners include the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Russian Academy of Sciences.
